[S4E21] All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone
Meanwhile, Dale has apparently forgotten about another couples' date with the Hills. Furious at being stood up, Nancy rants about how she needs two men in her life since she apparently cannot rely on either one, and heads back to John Redcorn's trailer to resume their affair. She is surprised to see Dale there, however, and as he buttons up his shirt (recalling similar, less innocent circumstances when it was Dale walking in on Redcorn with Nancy) after a massage, she demands to know why he's there. When he turns the question around, she too cites a 'headache', whereupon he suddenly remembers the missed date and confesses apologetically that he's been helping John Redcorn in an attempt to mend 'patient-healer' relations for Nancy's benefit. When Dale asks John Redcorn if he'll agree to resume healing Nancy, however, Redcorn refuses: now that Dale is his friend, he no longer wishes to betray him and ends his 14 year affair with his wife, but continues to mask his history with Nancy by explaining that their friendship would make it unprofessional for him to continue her treatments. Dale and Nancy thusly depart, hand in hand. In the credits, John Redcorn has received some government papers and proceeds to read them saying, "Good, this is good". The episode ends with Redcorn saying, "This is dynamite."
After some time researching, Twilight and Sunset discover the ancient writings of Clover the Clever, which mention a magical object called the Memory Stone. Long ago, an evil sorceress used the Memory Stone to erase others' memories, and whenever Clover came close to stopping her, she erased his memories and escaped. To counteract this, Clover secretly wrote everything down so that he'd know the sorceress's next move after his memories were erased. Clover's last known action was chasing the sorceress through a portal, but the last page of his writings is missing. Twilight theorizes that the Memory Stone ended up in the human world and that someone is using it to erase everyone's memories and make them hate Sunset Shimmer again.
As Elena is giving her speech, she and the other vampires smell blood dripping from the ceiling. Damon intuits that it's a trap and very quietly warns everyone not to move. Elena almost loses control before Stefan comes up to the podium and leads her back to her seat. Back in their seats, Elena is barely holding it together, and Stefan and Damon argue under their breath about what to do. Finally, Matt suggests that Elena feed from him. Stefan agrees to it and lets Matt take Elena. Matt pretends to console Elena while she feeds from his neck. Once she has fed, Elena releases Matt and tells Stefan that she can still smell the blood. She suggests it must be April Young, who was missing, and that they have to help her. Stefan doesn't want to risk getting caught, but Tyler decides to reveal himself by going up to the podium. The hunter shoots Tyler, and Stefan, Carol, Caroline and Elena go to check on him while the rest of the church becomes chaotic. Once Caroline has taken the bullet out of Tyler, Stefan tells Elena that he is going to find Damon.
Later Stefan and Damon are with Bonnie and Matt and she explained that Silas was appearing as Jeremy, Stefan says that's what Silas does and not to let him get to her and Damon says that because that she's all crazy and brainwashed and Stefan then suggests that one of them should take Bonnie home and Damon says its safer for her in public and Silas can't make everyone see the same thing and Matt asks how to look out for someone who can appear as anyone, later Stefan is talking to Damon outside and asks him if he's looking for Silas or waxing nostalgic about misspent youth Damon asks Stefan about what happened to him being over Elena, Stefan asks him what does he mean Damon says for a guy ready to move on he seems convincing as boyfriend on the dance floor, Stefan says that what they are doing reminding Elena of what she's
